1.. Case must have been tried in an adult court because of a fitness hearing.    A fitness hearing is to see if a juvenile should be tried as an adult or juvenile.

2.. You may only have been convicted of 1 and only 1 misdemeanor crime.    If you were not convicted of any crime  press here.  

3.. You must successfully complete probation.  If no probation then you must wait 1 year after sentencing to use this remedy.  The 1 year wait is to let the judge know you have been rehabilitated.

4.. You must not have been arrested for any other crime since you got arrested on this case.    This procedure applies to those who made only 1 mistake and have led a spotless life since.

5.. This is not your remedy if for a vehicle violation..

Entering a no contest plea or nolo contendere plea is the same as pleading guilty .

All of your records will be sealed and you do not have to tell anyone about this incident.   This includes all the records of this particular case, which includes the arrest record, and any other official record or document concerning this case.

Your credibility may not be attacked if a witness.
